EMPLOYMENT SERVICE

We invite people to enroll in our Job Search Assistance Programs:

  1. Job search assistance for Chicago residents.
  2. Job search assistance and funding for vocational training for Cook County residents.


We offer assistance to people with low income* and to public assistance recipients. Registration: at the South Side office: 6276 W. Archer Ave on every third Thursday of the month from 10am to 2pm or at the North Side office: 3819 N. Cicero Ave Monday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm and on Friday from 9am to 3pm.

ELIGIBILITY FOR SERVICES

A participant must bring a proof of:

  1. US citizenship or legal alien status, birth certificate, voter's registration, US passport, Alien Registration Card (I-551) or I-94 or other original immigration document authorizing employment as well as an original Social Security card.
  2. Age, must be at least 18 years old.
  3. Address (must be a Chicago or Cook County resident) - Driver's License, State ID, current gas, electrical, telephone bill.
  4. Income for the last 6 months: most recent pay stubs, unemployment claimant letter and most recent unemployment pay stubs, medical card from Public Aid, Income tax, or other documents stating income.
  5. Selective Service System registration for men born after December 31, 1959.
