SUCCESS - Skills for Improving Academic Achievement Workshop
Teens between 13 to 18 will be introduced to skills and concepts designed to prepare them for greater academic success. Three 1.5 hourly workshops each, including the following information:
- How to prepare the brain and body for academic success
- Tips and techniques for improving focus, test taking, time management
- Basic techniques for managing test/performance anxiety
This workshop is highly recommended for, but not limited to, middle school students preparing for NWEA tests or selective enrollment high school exams, students entering high schools, juniors preparing for ACT/SAT exams, seniors looking into college education. Not only will participants will learn valuable information, practice techniques, improve brain efficiency and self-confidence, but will also have remarkable fun and make new friends!
This free of charge event will take place on Tuesdays: 6, 13 and 20 August 2019 from 6:00 to 7:30pm at our south side location: 6276 S. Archer Ave in Chicago. Registration is a required since the number of openings is limited to approximately ten participants.
