In celebration of Polish Heritage Month, the PAA is proud to anounce our internationally renowned honoree for the PAA Chairman’s Brunch in 2018!

Dorota Kobiela,  artist, co-writer, and director of the Academy Award® nominated film Loving Vincent will be flown to Chicago to accept this recognition at two incredible events presented by the PAA.

The first, will be an exclusive screening of "Loving Vincent",  the world’s first fully painted feature film. Composed of 65,000 frames of oil paintings on canvas in the style of Van Gogh, the film was created by an international team of 125 painters over the course of 6 years. The visually stunning film earned more than 50 award nominations, including the Academy Award® nomination for Best Animated Film, and was the winner of 18 awards. We will then honor Director Kobiela at the prestigious Chairman's Brunch, at the Art Institute of Chicago. There, she will give a personal account of her work developing her ground breaking film.
