Youth Services

Starting Point - Youth Program at PAA offers counseling for youth facing different challenges in their life. We also offer services and support groups to parents, guardians and other family members to develop effective parenting strategies, resolve conflict and bring stability for the whole family.

The program components include:

  • individual and group counseling for youth;
  • early intervention services for adolescents using alcohol and or drugs;
  • support groups for parents.

Common issues addressed:

  • Behavioral difficulties
  • School-related problems such as peer conflict or academic stress
  • Parent-child conflicts and other family issues
  • Grief & loss including divorce adjustment
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Depression and/or anxiety
  • Trauma
  • Eating Disorders
  • Substance abuse (alcohol/drugs)
  • Internet addiction
