The Chicago Society Foundation for PAA
November 16, 2020For many years the Chicago Society Foundation has been a steadfast champion of the Polish American Association’s many programs, including the Families in Crisis, victims of domestic abuse, and the homeless shelter. Thanks to the support of the Chicago Society Foundation, our Clinical Services Department provided a safe space for homeless men, and traumatized victims and their children where they received intensive mental health, substance abuse, and victim violence counseling. We are enormously grateful for the help we received from the Chicago Society Foundation over the years that has allowed us to provide assistance and counseling to the most vulnerable members of our community. That support has been critical in addressing their needs. One of the areas which the PAA has to quickly update and improve, is its records keeping systems, Electronic Health Record. The Chicago Society Foundation has provided the PAA with funds to help underwrite the cost of purchasing and building the Electronic Health Records system, which will enable us to appropriately serve clients without stable homes, as well as victims of domestic violence. The PAA is deeply grateful for the Foundation’s generosity and friendship.
