SUCCESS - SKILLS FOR IMPROVING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT VIRTUAL WORKSHOP
Teens between the ages of 13 to 18 will be introduced to skills and concepts designed to prepare them for greater academic success. Five 90-minute workshops each, which will include information on the following topics:
- How to prepare the brain and body for academic success
- Tips and techniques for improving focus, test taking, time management
- Basic techniques for managing test/performance anxiety
This workshop is highly recommended for, but not limited to: middle school students preparing for NWEA tests or selective enrollment high school exams, students entering high school, juniors preparing for ACT/SAT exams, and seniors looking into college education. Not only will participants learn valuable information, practice techniques, improve brain efficiency and self-confidence, but will also have remarkable fun! Upon completion of the workshop series, each participant will receive a certificate. This may be helpful in applications for selective enrollment schools, colleges, and scholarships.
This free of charge virtual event via ZOOM will take place on the five following Saturdays: January 30, February 13 and 27, March 13 and 27 (2021) from 3:00 to 4:30pm. Registration is required since the number of openings is limited.
