Accounting Internship

The Accounting Intern is responsible for assisting the Finance Director in planning, supporting and executing a wide-range of projects.

The ideal candidate would:

  • Have a basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Have completed Accounting 101/102 courses
  • Have strong work ethic, be intelligent, and self-motivated
  • Attentive to detail and able to meet deadlines
  •  Able to manage priorities and multi task effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  •  Good at communicating for dealing with diverse staff.
  • Able to maintain high level of confidentiality.

Interns will gain experience in:

  • Non-for-profit Accounting
  • Data entry and updating additions and corrections in databases
  •  Filing, preparing, and billing vouchers and other functions as assigned
  •  Submitting invoices to the City and State tailored to the PAA’s mission

Interns must be prepared to:

  • Be able to come into the office twice a week
