Substance Abuse Treatment

The Starting Point - Substance Abuse Program of the Polish American Association is founded on the belief that abuse of psychoactive substances destroys self, family, and the community. Additionally, the we believe that abuse leads to dependence that is a chronic, progressive, incurable, but treatable disease that must be intervened upon.

The goal of Starting Point is to provide culturally specific outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment to Polish-speaking individuals who abuse alcohol or drugs or are chemically dependent. Our outpatient groups are offered throughout the week in evening hours making this an excellent choice for those who work.

We also offer weekly support groups for family members and significant others of these who struggle with addiction. To inquire about or sign up for support groups please call 773-282-8206 ext. 349 or ext. 357.

Starting Point office hours are 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 9:00 am - 3:00 pm on Friday. For more information or register for program, please call: (773) 282-8206 ext. 347, ext. 349 and ext.354. No registration is need for support group participation.
